Join in the fun and festivities at "Oscars on the Rocks" (formerly An Evening at the Academy Awards), the official benefit and celebration of the recent Sedona International Film Festival. Same great party … same incredible time … live as it is happening in Los Angeles!
You will feel like you are right in the midst of the Oscar action here in Sedona with our Gala event — now at Harkins Theatres. See the Academy Awards live and enjoy food, drinks, Oscar contests, trivia contests, raffles and more! "Reds" meets the red carpet as Reds Restaurant/Sedona Rouge hosts an extensive and elegant tasting menu right there at the theater!
Enjoy a hosted cocktail reception with wine, beer, a martini bar and many non-alcoholic offerings. Then, follow the red carpet to our "party in the Theatre" where we'll enjoy Hollywood's biggest celebration of film. It's the Oscars — SEDONA Style!
The gala will take place Sunday, March 7 at Harkins Sedona Six Theatres, presented by the Sedona International Film Festival. It is an unforgettable evening from the moment you make your way down our Sedona red carpet to the final award of the evening.
The Academy Awards are broadcast live on the huge theatre screen in theatre 2 using high definition projection equipment and full stereo sound. "Toby Payne will work his technical genius to make it seem like we are right there in Hollywood, live with the celebrities at the Oscars," said event founder and Film Festival Director Patrick Schweiss. "He will put us right in the middle of the action."

The evening begins with a hosted wine and hors d'oeuvres reception, featuring wines donated by Arizona Stronghold Vineyards, Stella Artois and a Martini Bar, compliments of Southern Wine and Spirits, as well as non-alcoholic selections. Enjoy a sumptuous tasting menu and hors d'oeuvres presented by Reds Restaurant.
Then, you will be whisked into the theatres for the big show and delectable creations from Chef Ron as he and his Reds' team bring their culinary delights right into the theatre! Enjoy the Academy Awards presentation LIVE as it is happening in Los Angeles. You'll feel like you are right there at the Oscars.

As always, the evening promises all of the fun trivia contests, pick-the-winner contests and other give-aways that our attendees have come to expect at "An Evening at the Academy Awards". Many surprises await at what has become an Oscar-party tradition here in Sedona.
"This benefit event is an unbelievable way to experience the Oscars and enjoy a glamorous night out in Sedona while celebrating the biggest film festival in our history," said Schweiss.
The festivities begin at 5 p.m. with the cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception in the Harkins Theatres lobby. Then, guests will walk the red carpet to the official Oscar telecast in the theaters at 6:30. |
